Knee jerk reaction is what we are paying for. Ramp up the security for bunches of hundreds of peoples that get paid by the federal government meaning they are very important people and must not be shot. Some of these VIP’s are even carrying side arms. I can see it now, a car backfires, out comes the 44 magnum and it blows away a couple of citizens. Get your news paper right here ‘Representative to be tried for unlawful discharge of firearm.
I can’t say I was a prophet, or a soothsayer here. But it’s too easy to understand how congresses knee jerk reaction would be after one of them gets shot. Up the barricades, man the cannon, hide, we are VIP’s and must not be shot. This is a free America; they have a right to think that. My fellow citizens, I apologize for my predictions for they were inadequate for the situation. The endangered species of lawmakers have a new law that no guns shall get closer to the VIP’s than 1000 feet, or was it yards, no matter because any law prohibiting our freedom to bear arms is illegal and unenforceable, plus the bodyguards, this is going to get expensive. I think a few, maybe a dozen or more should be shot before enacting such draconian measures.
